I was not too happy with the race at the end of the day. I felt that I could have done better on the bike and run. However, when I look at my results, my swim was a lot better. The bike was slower and I can only attribute it to three things: First, I was coming off of bronchitus. Second, I had a new position. Third, I did not have my computer on the bike, so I was having to judge effort by perceived exhertion. I was only passed by one guy on the bike, but the guy was someone I normally am able to beat. When I hit the run, I knew I was in trouble. The amazing thing is that I still turned in a sub 7:30 pace. It certainly did not feel that fast.

While I had a PR in this race, I believe I should have been faster on the bike and run considering how much I have put into them. Granted, I pretty much took the prior week off and dealt with bronchitus, but I guess I expected more.
