Training Update

I have not been posting my training to the site as of late as I have been too busy. I did hire a coach through www.triendurance.com. Kris, my coach, has been great. The plan he put togeher for me was manageable in regards to my schedule and I have seen some great results. I have seen my strength improve as well as my speed. Across the board, running, swimming, and biking have seen improvements.

Most of my improvements I have attributed to the consistency of the training and interval work or strong efforts built into most of my sessions.

The only fall-out of my training has been some calf strain in my right leg. This has left me susceptible to Plantar Fascitus. I have been working with a Chiropracter who uses Active Release Therapy (ART) to combat the issue. So far it has kept it at bay, but after hard sessions or hard weeks, the strain seems to reoccur.

My first race is in mid-June, but with the arrival of our first child in early May, I have no expectations on my ability to maintain my training schedule.
