Still Cranking

I have been pretty consistent over the past month with my running. My weekly Yoga class has been extremely beneficial as well. I have even broken out the trainer and gotten a few rides -- though I quickly remembered why I hate the trainer so much. The largest challenge has been my diet. Even before Thanksgiving I was out of control. I have started to revamp my calories with the quality of my food. More veggies and fruit, less sweets and empty calories.

Yoga has been awesome. I have gotten so much more awareness of my muscle imbalances and have seen a noticeable difference in my core strength as well as my upper back. I am hoping to see less stiffness and soreness in my back/neck areas during long rides next season.

I am starting to get into my base training for cycling. My goal is to get 2 - 3 rides in during the week. I want to spend some time on strength and pedal stroke, and then at least one hard session (intervals/spinervals or something). If I am not too focused, in December I am o.k. with that. I would be happy just getting in some miles.
