Moved - Part 1
We are out of our old house completely. On Friday the movers came and loaded everthing up into 12 vaults (wooden crates). These vaults will be stored at some undisclosed location for the next three months as P, G, the dogs, and I live at my in-laws. The move went smooth and they were done in 5.5 hours. It amazes me how fast your house can be taken apart. At the end of the day, it was quiet sad to be see the home we spent so much time making our own empty and cold. All of the memories kept flooding back everytime I looked around. From the moment we brought the dogs home to the first time G came home to all the ups and downs in between. Normally you are on to a new house almost immediately, not this time. We have a three month pit stop which I think made it more emotional to leave the old house.
Living with the in-laws I think will work out just fine. We are a bit cramped in the basement, but at least we have our own space. G is doing fine upstairs in her own room. I think she even has more space than we do. The dogs love it as they now have four adults and a baby to pay them attention.

Moving day is almost here...
In just two days we move out of this house. What is sad is tonight I was putting G to bed and reliazed that tonight will be the last night she sleeps in her first room. P and I had such a good time putting her first room together it is sad to see it go. However we will be replicating it in the new house. That is how much we loved it.
As I walk through the house I realize how much fun we had here. How many memories that were made here. The bare walls and empty rooms are saddening. Though I look forward to all the new memories that we will build in our new home.

Spring Itch...
I am dying for spring... I am so sick of cold, wet weather and am so ready for some temps that are comfortable to be outside in. I can't wait to break out the G-trailer and do some runs and bike rides with my daughter in tow. Since we are in the middle of the move and the weather has not been that great I have held off putting the G-trailer together... Even my wife has asked me to post-pone until we are at least at my in-laws house (post move living arrangements). Me, I just want a good day of weather so I can head out for a workout without freezing my extremities. One good sign is that it is now daylight at 6 PM. Soon, I will be out there until 8 PM.

Moving Sucks
We sold our house (yeah!) and have been in the process of packing up for the past three weeks. Talk about a pain in the *%$. What really is difficult is that we are moving into temporary housing (my in-laws) and storing most of our stuff. So as we pack we have to figure out what it is we want to keep (i.e. clothes), what we want to donate, and what we need to pack. This makes the whole process go a little slower. Currently we have three main rooms to complete. The guest bedroom (easy), G's room (not so easy), and the garage (really not so easy). We will get it all done this weekend, as next weekend is move out day. Once that is done, we have to go through the house and clean, patch walls, touch-up paint, etc.
The new house is coming along just fine, but we are still at least 100 days away from being able to move in.
